I wish we had an FDR today.
We would need the population to be as smart as the average person was back then and with their moral compass to make an FDR Presidency work today.

He wouldn't look good enough on TV these days for people to like him.

I wish term limits for the Presidency would be eliminated. There is a chance we could still have Clinton and if that were the case this would be a different country today.

But of the Presidents who owned slaves, Polk was the most unashamed; he actually bought additional "human property" in anticipation of his retirement.

Polk is on my "omitted" list because of that; Jackson for his displacement of native peoples for the benefit of his populist backers; T Roosevelt for his love of economic meddling, and Wilson for his fascination with bigger government and foreign entanglements that got us into one European war and, because of his pipe dreams, led to a second round a generation later.

Why is anyone who doesn't idolize Obama immediately branded a "hater" or "Teabagger"?

Really? Is your life that bad? I don't base my happiness on what the Government does.

Do you expect government to make your life better?

In 50 years from now, the Republicans will be quoting Obama, and talking about what a great president he was. They always hate Democrats while they are alive, but love them after they are gone. Meanwhile Republican presidents just fade into obscurity. Because they do nothing for the country, and have no vision for the future.

Somebody had to do something about our crappy healthcare system, and Obama did it. That will be noted in the history books.

I only chose 6 (that's what happens when my ADD kicks in. lol)

Washington
Jefferson
Polk
Lincoln
Theodore Roosevelt
FDR

Polk may seem a bit strange but he actually did quite a bit while in office and is one of the few politicians of any Party to actually keep ALL of his campaign promises including the one to only serve one term.

For the 7th, I'm not sure who I'd choose to be honest; probably Kennedy.
