Why is nobody, for the record, trying to dig up this Nazi Heinz Rhinefarth and get his name shamed for what he did to Polish civilian men, women, and children for his DIRECT involvement in the Woll Massacre in Warsaw in 1944?
Wola massacre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He was one of few people responsible for the indiscriminate shooting of Polish civilians along with Polish resistance fighters to destroy the will of Warsaw to resist Nazi Germany.

He wasn't following orders so much here, he was a high ranking SA who led the mass murders of innocent Poles going door to door shooting innocent people on the spot, raping and torturing of women and killing of children. These were crimes against the Polish nation.

In West Germany he was not prosecuted because the ruling was "under Nazi period genocide was not a crime...cannot make it a crime retroactively." He was never ever charged.

He lived a happy life, became Mayor of a German town, became a successful German lawyer with a rich pension and died smiling knowing he is born of superior German blood and therefore is proud of his life work and died unapologetic in a happy Manor house in a German spa town.

Why isn't this guy exposed?

On balance if you look at the atrocities committed by the German military and Nazis you'll find yes, large numbers got away with "mass murder".

Don't think one saved the website but remember reading online about various members of the Nazis/German military that ran or worked in death camps and so forth, persons directly responsible for murdering scores, hundreds if not thousands of persons. When you look at the numbers tried (very small) and convicted very few got death sentences. Even those who were incarcerated had relative short terms and were released often long before those terms should have ended. One particular official the website did the sums for served less than one second in prison for the thousands he murdered.

Then you have those deemed "necessary" by various Allied governments including the USA. Their unsavory actions during the war were overlooked because they had knowledge or something the governments wanted, or thought they did anyway.

Finally there were the Nazis smuggled out of Germany/Europe by the Catholic Church, Red Cross and other organizations never to be seen again.

In a previous age many Nazis and German military would have been lined up and shot, hanged, or sent to some prison to rot away at the monarch's pleasure. But because the Allies especially the United States made such show about being countries governed by "rules of law", there had to be trials with evidence and so forth.
