Not really sure what the President's salary has to do with the 15 richest US Presidents, which they all got their wealth before they became President for the most part.
The President may 'only' make 400,000k, but he has benefits that far exceed any other job, so he really lives the life of someone who is quite richer for obvious reasons. I don't think the President has to pay for many things.
The presidents salary is immaterial nowadays. The real profit comes after you leave office - book deals, speaches, chairman of the board appoitments, etc. Bill Cinton gets $190k per year for his pension for being president. That's peanuts - he makes $10m a year from giving speaches alone.

Yeah, they get the benefits of being the most people in the world. Can't really rate how much money they make based on their salary/pension from their primary job of President.

True but that wasn't the case 50-100 years ago.. and most of presidents listed were prior to that... I'm not sure how accurate this list really is.. they are basing their net worth as if they were alive today, its really hard to gauge such but still fun to think about.
