LMAO!!!!!! Yeah, I had that happen to me a couple of times, I had a ball in the '70's, if I had the chance to do it all again, I would do the exact same things!

In the 60s I was still in high school and admired people with college degrees because it required hard studying and had more value than today.
Kids didn't bring guns to school with the intent to kill.
We had presidents such as Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon. All three (whether you liked them or not) understood the english language very well and could make intelligent comments without a speech writer. You could argue or question their policies, but their intelligence was not doubted.
Correct usage of english (grammar, spelling) was more evident than today.
The British music invasion was terrific! The variety of music included some lingering doo-***, surf music (The California Sound), Motown, folk music, and hippy rock. The singer/songwriters wrote creative, original lyrics. AM radio still played Top Forty and wasn't overrun with blathering political crackpots. Religion was still in the churches, not in the government. The press was more aggressive at uncovering misdeeds by politicians. More people read newspapers than today.
The girls began to abandon make-up and became more natural.

Some of us, kept that abandonment of makeup going our whole lives and have nice skin as we age.

We weren't bombarded with marketing like today; television was not all pervasive; no aircon. There was an interconnectedness of all things; not the isolation we feel today.

I might have been that blond girl; except that I was brunette, now gray.

Sitting on the swings as Dancing Queen by Abba blared from the pothead's big radio. Playing various playground games which ultimately would end up in some sort of disagreement and dispute. "You cheated". "No I did'nt" blah, blah. Being a young vandal throwing stones at windows. Being chased by homeowners and always getting away. Not being smart enough to realize that people would see me all the time and figure out where I live. So, they would eventually go to my house and say, "hey your son throws rocks at my windows." Getting grounded. Burning down garbage cans. Getting caught and getting grounded. I was pretty bad in the 70's.

I was just checking the TV guide and noticed "Escape to Witch Mountain" is being shown on the Hallmark Channel at 11pm. If you grew up in the 70's this was probably one of your most fondly remembered Disney movies.

There were a lot of good movies on that channel today! The Parent Trap was earlier. I was also a big fan of the Escape movies!

I still have them, and they still fit.
PROVE THEY STILL FIT! PLEASE?
