I wonder if your facts are correct about the loss of South Americans Indians being less then that of North American Indians. While it is more evident in North American to see the destruction upon Native American Indians (including Canada), the South American Indians did not fare any better. Many Indians were forced into slavery by the Spaniards to work the gold mines. Disease wiped out many tribes. The native populations were virtually wiped out in the Caribbean by the Europeans. The list goes on...
