No. I'm having trouble verifying this one. The one I have in mind is touting itself as the widest bridge in the world, but qualified by "in terms of traffic lanes"---of which there are 21.

Are you talking about Driscoll Bridge over the Raritan river on Garden State Parkway in my state of NJ? After completing nortbound 8 lanes and current southbound 7 lanes it will be 15 lanes + 6 shoulder lanes? Or it will be Sydney Harbour Bridge currently world widest Long-span Bridge (as per Guinees Book)?

The widest bridge question seems to be nearly unanswerable. Googling "world's widest bridge", one gets four different claimants. The Sydney bridge is qualified by the terms "widest long-span" bridge, and Driscoll Bridge, on the NJ Turnpike, as the widest bridge "in terms of number of traffic lanes" However, the Blue Bridge in St. Petersburg, Russia is exactly twice as wide as the Sydney bridge, at 320 feet wide, but for unexplained reaons, was disqualified from the Gunnness listing. The width (in feet) of the Driscoll Bridge is apparently a classified national security issue because I cannot find it anywhwere. With 21 ten-foot lanes, it would appear to be about 210 feet wide.
---------------
The well in Greensburg Kansas claims to be the deepest hand-excavated hole in the world, but I presume by largest, you mean the greatest displacement of material.

Jagersfontein Mine, nearby.
Its interesting that modern man shakes his head in astonishment that the Egyptians would bulld the pyramids at such great effort, when we go to the same effort just to get bling out of the ground.
