Actually, Bucharest, not Budapest is the Paris of the East. The rest are right(but not Paris,Maine).

Which state is the 'transition' area in which the Orogenesis of the Rocky Mountains changes, in terms of its major components and formative processes? I suppose there could be two answers, but theres one obvious one.

The question is a little bit vague, since the Rocky Mountains encompass at least three distinct orogeny zones. Furthermore, the orogenesis area must by definition have a perimeter, all of which is a "transition", and that perimeter passes through many states. The geographical feature known a the "Rocky Mountains" resides in only five states, and all five have more territory outside the Rockies than within, all five must naturally have a significant and conspicuous transition.

In minor league baseball, there are three cities east of the Mississippi, which have teams that play in the Pacific Coast League. There is also a city on the shores of the Great Lakes with a team that plays in the South Atlantic League. Can you name those four cities? Another misnamed league is the International League, whose teams are all now in the same country, so I can't do much with that one.

Without googling or looking up, going by my memory. Will go with Nashville, Charlotte and Memphis for the PCL and just a wild stab at Erie for the South Atlantic league.

Well, got two out of three in the Pacific Coast League. Replace Charlotte with New Orleans and I would have gotten it right.

Wasn't too far from Lake County Indians (Eastlake, OH) with my stab at Erie, PA. At least I got the correct Great Lake. According to Wikipedia, they will shift to the Midwest league next year.

Correct. It's Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans in the PCL and the suburb of Cleveland in the SAL. Also, the Texas League has only four (of 8) teams in Texas, and that number had slipped to three a decade ago.

This one seems to have slipped through the cracks. Anyone want to take a stab at it?

And, what was the correct answer to the orogenesis question?
