My answer to the question of longest river in Canada would be the McKenzie River.

One town surrounded by Canada is Pt. Roberts, Washington. I'm not sure of this, but the island town of Johnswood, Michigan, seems like a candidate for the other town.

"Freshwater" sharks are found in the Amazon River. They have the ability to excrete salt from their bodies and adapt to freshwater.

Point Roberts is one of the two correct answers. Excellent knowledge!

Trudeyrose & fellow geography buffs,

Thanks to some good geography questions asked, I learned something today. I've always wondered why there was an appendage or jog north of Lake of the Woods on Minnesota's border with Canada. Apparently, there was a surveying error made in the 1800s. In order to include a portion of the Red Lake Indian Reservation, it became necessary to make a jog called the Northwest Angle above the 49th parallel. I guess you could say it is similar to the geographical oddity of Pt. Roberts, Washington.

To me, one of the strangest things in geography and nature are the freshwater seals found hundreds of miles from the ocean in Lake Baikal, Siberia. Scientists don't have an explanation for it.
John

The Netherlands come to mind. Amsterdam and The Hague. If there are others, I surely don't know them. Maybe Bolivia or some place like that.

What part of Canada is located further south than the northernmost part of California?
