I believe without looking it up, its the Rhine river if you don't count european Russia.

Which city in Texas is closer to San Diego than Houston?
Which city also in Texas is closer to Chicago than El Paso?

What is the easternmost part of the USA?

The second longest river in Europe is not Rhine, but DUNABE . And by the way Russia till Ural Mountains is in Europe, which includes the longest river in the EUROPE-VOLGA.

Very good!
The western Aleutian Islands of Alaska fall past/west of the date line so they are as east as you can get on the globe!

Yes sir I am very aware that part of Russia is in Europe. People have the tendency to overlook that which is why I pointed it out.

When we include Russia here is the correct order:

Volga
Danube
Rhine

I believe it's Indigo's turn to post a question, but I just wanted to make an observation about the geographical boundaries of Europe and Asia. I understand there is considerable disagreement among geographers about where Europe ends and Asia begins. One website states that Russian geographers mark the end of Europe in the east at the Ural mountains, but often exclude Caucasia altogether, preferring to use the Volga and Black Sea as the demarcation line. Other geographers generally accept the Greater Caucasus Mountains and the Lesser Caucasus Mountains as the physical boundary between Europe and Asia. This area, known as Transcaucasia, includes the countries of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, which places them in Europe. Interestingly, Turkey, except for the small portion west of the Dardanelles, is listed in Asia (or Asia Minor), although most of Turkey is considerably west of the countries of Transcaucasia. Anyone else find this as an anomaly?
John
