The Romans established peace in the Mediterranean after they killed everybody, including many of their own.

Too many other examples to cite: humans have been killing each other since ... what day was it .... eight maybe?

Peace is an interlude between wars.

Peace is what you do with the grey matter between your ears, don't expect anybody to do it for you.

By the way, whining and complaining is not going to help.

Good Luck!

“Only the dead have seen the end of war.” Sometimes attributed to Plato. Others disagree.

Your questions that you should ask is "has the world ever had a period where their isn't war..." I suspect you have another agenda here however (your posting history in P&C forum takes away some of your credibility). Indeed there is a figure on social media saying that the US has been at war some 93% of the years of it's existence. Shock! Awe!...for a bunch of idiots that feed off of anything they read without understanding the context. In reality it takes a very loose definition of war, basically anytime the US fires a shot in anger for one day the entire year is part of this statistic. Also, consider we had conflicts with native american's off and on for some 100 years plus of our existence, well, you do the math.
Also it compares with similiar world leaders in history, it actually compares favorably - France and Great Britain for example during it's peaks of power (Great Britain had some 230 wars in a period of the 18th century for instance).

So, anti-US nonsense aside, where do we as humans stand today? The 21st century, at least so far, is the most peaceful period on earth. Battle deaths per 100,000 people are the lowest in recorded history. Wars are less frequent and less violent. There won't be a headline in the media about this, good news doesn't make the news, but the facts are there.

10 seconds on Google would answer your question, but I suspect that is not what you want.

The mistake many of the P&C forum guys make when they come in here to start a thread is to find out that we ACTUALLY DISCUSS HISTORY HERE, in the proper objective global historical context. It's not a forum for a political, social, or anti this or that agenda.

yes you are right i could have googles it but i wanted to discuss history with history people. If we googled everything then there would be no need for this forum, the people and especially this section, in other word,s this section would be history.

question; what does p&C have to do with this question?

What history is it you want to discuss. I don't see any reference in your post to any topic to discuss, just a loaded question that can be easily answered by a Google search and some mindless personal opinions. I really think you are in the wrong forum.

Yep. No agenda at all to this question.

To answer, it's in the Constitution that we need to be shooting someone. Hope that helps.

Well, if the Europeans had behaved in a civilized manner throughout the 20th century, the USA wouldn’t have been dragged into WWI, WWII (at least not in Europe), and the Cold War (including Korea). plus Vietnam never would have happened. Not to mention Gulf War 1.
