Well here in the US in the 1830’s Nat Turner tried. Due to ineffective communication and the inability of most slaves to travel independently his rebellion failed. He was never able to recruit more than about 70 people who rebelled and operated within a very small geographic area. The rebellion was quickly put down by the local militia and armed civilians.
The propaganda media & academia wing of the globalist plantation system caters to the sensitivities & sensibilities of the trans-national neo-nazi cartels, multi-national corporatists/fascists, pseudo-nationalist planters/settlers/colonists & the "father-land" feudalists (robber-barron royals, nonsensical "nobility", & conniving commoners from the north atlantic pond); the descendants of the former & their coloured concubines & their slaver sidekicks from the man-children.
There is a thread on this here forum where the majority of the posters seemed determined to deny & debunk the existence of the Underground Rail Road.
I have a thread about capoiera that has been blatantly ignored while other threads that rant & rave about "how my massah/plantation is better than your massah/plantation" seem to be the most popular on that particular forum.
Enslaved Blacks in the United States could never have freed themselves without help - they were outnumbered, out organized, and definitely outgunned.
Even in 1860 South Carolina, where slaves were 57% of the population, if a servile insurrection occurred and was of such a magnitude as to succeed, then the federal government was constitutionally bound to put down insurrections that occurred within a state.
One should not underestimate the intense level of plantation identification. Again within the globalist plantation system, one will find that the so-called people of colour in actuality despise being coloured, worship nordicism (quite literally) & will spout off things that would make the most hard-core neo-nazi's jaw drop.

Unfortunately for them, the British lost and the rest was history. No one mentions this during History class because it's embarrassing.
I don't think that makes much sense. The fighting in the American Revolution ended in October of 1781, yet the law abolishing the slave trade in Great Britain wasn't signed until 1807, and slaves in Great Britain weren't freed until 1833. The British wouldn't have done anything to help free slaves in America, just as they did nothing in the colonies they still owned after the American Revolution.

Not quite the British in the south did offer freedom to the slaves of slave owners who were deemed rebels in the south and joined the British army but you are right that was a very limited offer.
Some tidbits on slavery among the aboriginals such as the so-called plantation civilized, that is often edited, erased from the history books courtesy of a peer & rival of the school of Blumenbach (particularly John Bachman, repping the planter class of BOTH the northern & southern parts of nordic north amerigo-land).
There has also been a massive slave trade of the indio bozales in 'spani south amerigo-land, similar to what went down on the African coasts, that likewise is being revised out of existence from the history books to make way for the globalist plantation propaganda of "racial democracy", "cosmic race" & "post-racialism" (i.e. the so-called people of colour in point of fact vehemently despise being coloured & actively prostitute themselves & their children to trans-national neo-nazi cartels in the name of "improving the race").
That modern day imperial (i.e. multi-national corporatist gubbermint) city-state named after walt is working overtime sanitizing both pocohontas & that creole wench & the whole pedo/pervy rape balls she in actuality was associated with.
Was there anyway that U.S slaves could have freed themselves without a huge violent uprising?
You mean other than to escape? Some managed to work off their servitude. I don't think it was frequent, but I've read of some slaves doing something particularly exceptional for their owner and were released. I don't think all slave owners were the villains we think of them now, though I am sure there were as many mean hearted owners as we have mean hearted people now.
I think the most well-known is Frederick Douglass. His narrative sold more than 30,000 copies in the first five years and became an international best-seller. Douglass would go on to write two later versions of his autobiography: My Bondage and My Freedom (1855) and The Life and Times of Frederick Douglass (1881; expanded edition, 1892).
