I believe Humboldt, the student of Blumenbach, stated that the Huns were somewhat swarthy eastern Asians.

They were just a ruling class & the Euros adopted some of their culture & customs, like how those of Finland are mezo-finniyi swedes.

Along the same lines, when the eastern Asian Khazars converted to Judaism, this time the eastern Euros only adopted the religion rather than the language.
