Was surfing and came across this incredible site, very good if you like Presidential facts.

I have only been to 16 of the President's gravesites. I wish I could see them all.

You might like Sarah Vowell's Assassination Vacation - she visits locations connected with presidential assassinations. Very entertaining writer.

Great website! I went right to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln because they're my favorites. Though I think John Adams is highly overlooked by many.

Mount Vernon is neat because they do a ceremony where Washington is buried? Did you partake in that while there?

Seeing Ford's Theatre and the 'House where Lincoln Died' across the street are both interesting and sad at the same time. Have you been there?

George and Abe are 2 of my favorites too. John Adams had the unique position of being the 1st Vice President of the United States. Some of his Executive decisions as President helped shape the Office, since no person could really take Washington's place, he had a burdernsome task.

No, although I toured MV 3 times in my life, I was never there when they had any special events.

Oh yes, on every visit to DC, I never failed to visit Ford's theatre and the Peterson home. In the basement of Fords Theatre they have the suit Lincoln was wearing the night he was shot and the derringer Booth used to kill Lincoln, among many other notable items.

I live in Ohio. The R.B.Hayes Museum in Freemont has the bedroom slippers he was wearing at the Peterson home the night he was shot.
