I am a fourth generation Texan. Parents and grandparents born and raised in Dallas or Houston.
Yes, my grandparents and great grandparents all had quite a few firearms. A rifle or two, a shotgun or two and at least one pistol. I have an extensive collection.
This was Texas and firearms ownership has pretty much always been common and widespread.
