Much has been written about me and I have been known by several different names, but to this day no one knows my true identity. There were a great deal of immigrants in my area during my time. There was much disorganization, of both economic and social orders, and many people had turned to illegal means to survive. Crooks and prostitutes were everywhere. I too was a criminal, one that has been linked to many very serious crimes but I was never apprehended. It is presumed I was a male and many theorized that I might have been a doctor. There were quite a number of letters sent to the authorities on my behalf, some even claimed to be me. Most of them were proven to be patently false, but not all.

No. Not him. I was criminally insane. You wouldn't want your daughter or wife to be associated with me in any way shape or form. B. Traven, though, was born about the time I was most notorious.

Are you sure Jack the Ripper didn't write "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" under the name B. Traven?
