I am the leader of my country. I am designing a "Great Seal" for it.
This is my proposal:
On the front will be the Children of Isreal in the wild being led by a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.
On the reverse will be the likeness of Hengist and Horsa, the first Saxon Chiefs to arrive and conquor Britian, because "it is from them we claim the honor of being descended and whose political principles and form of government we have assumed."
Who am I and what is my country???
(I'm thinking this will be super easy or a real stumper)
I was born May 4, 1881, in the same town as V.I Lenin, and like Lenin became a leader in the opposition to the tsar, although I was a socialist and not a communist. I was appointed Prime Minister of the Russian provisional government in 1917 until it was overthrown by the Bolsheviks, and I eventually fled the country to France, where I lived for years until moving to the United States. I died in 1970 in my adopted new hometown of New York City... Who am I?

I was Born in Nashville, Tennessee but raised in rural Missouri. I received no formal education in my youth, but self educated myself regarding law and government.
I easily won the election for my states governor over four other candidates, including John Sutter, and was sworn in as my states first elected civilian governor on December 20, 1849.
Ironically my state wasn't even admitted to the union until Septeber 9th 1850
