Default Which civilization would you have wanted to live in?

and why?

I'd go with Renaissance Italy because of all of the scientific and artistic innovation of the time. da Vinci, Galileo, Michaelangelo...

I'd like to have lived in Athens when Pericles ruled. I'd love to meet the philosophers, writers, architects of that time, to see the temples without smog, and to go to the markets and the theatre.

Turn of the century America, because of the excitement of all the new inventions, but the still-strong connection to the land.

It may not have existed, but if it did, then I choose Atlantis. But, not at the moment it was falling into the sea. That would be bad. Oh, the why? Well, it's a legendary place and it would be interesting to see just how advanced it was ... if it ever existed.

Excellent choice. You're obviously more cultured than most of the people I interact with on a daily basis here in America.

I would have liked to live in Egypt during the Golden Age, or Rome at it's height, or Grece as Aristotle taught. Maybe even the Old West in America before the Civil War.

But if I couldn't be wealthy or a land owner in any of those times, I'm quite happy right where I am thank you.

I would like to see the Native Americans before the Europeans came over here. Their culture has always fascinated me.
