My family moved to Mexico in 1900, from Utah, to continue practicing polygamy. My grandmother grew up in a small community in Copper Canyon. She came back to US to go to school, and stayed here...but many of her brothers and sisters stayed there...all blonde hair and blue eyes, and Mexican.

Guillermo del Toro appears to be of whatever race and ethnicity Michael Moore is from given that they look similar. Are you saying that Moore has Aztec ancestry?

This thread is sliding down a slippery slope of eugenics and racism.

Michael Moore is a deranged man suffering from several congenital diseases. His skull is deformed, so it's quite difficult to trace his ancestry.

A supposed expert once said that Mexicans are about 90% Indian. You get an idea by the lightness, or darkness, of the skin. Light skin is considered prestigous I hear.

Does it matter? Looks to be another country falling into the black hole created by Chinese manufacturing.

Ever wonder how China went from being a 3rd World country to the worlds #2 economic power in a very short time? I could make a thread but Grandstander would accuse me of a political bias and we can't have that.

Whenever I read the words 'supposed expert' and a very high or very low, rounded percentage like '90%', my eyes glaze over.

Well, I know a lot of light skinned americanos have been to Mexico, probably lightened up the gene pool down there. My own family is from Mexico, back in around 1890 they outlawed polygamy in Utah, so many Mormons went to Mexico with their wives. My Grandmother was born in Mexico, and came back to Utah for high school, where she stayed. Her parents remained in Mexico, and her Father, Swedish heritage, had several Mexican wives.

There's a small town south of Monterrey that is predominately of German & Irish descent - lots of redheads & blondes with blue eyes.

Monterrey itself seemed heavily "white" when I lived there 50 years ago.
