Watching the facial hair trends was interesting. From white wigs and clean faces to big bushy beards to handlebar mustaches...then around Calvin Coolidge they all start looking bland and corporate. Jimmy Carter had the nicest smile.
That was great! Very nicely done. Pierce; I'd forgotten all about him. I find it interesting that more recent presidents show teeth, smile. Funny how things change.
I'd recently read that Franklin Pierce is actually related to Barbara Bush.
It helps to know a little about key Presidents in the timeline as a memory aid, that is mine with Pierce. And where they are in the timeline can be placed by remembering little things like that. I remember Grover Cleveland at 22 and 24 and the only one from Indiana, Benjamin Harrison, at 23. T.R. is always #26 and I use him as my "halfway point" in the memorization process, and remember that the most obscure of them is at #25, William McKinley.
