Europe...500-1500 The Middle Ages...the Plague.. the Reformation.. the 30 Years War
Also WW1...not just the war itself, but all the circumstances and political events leading up to it

While I love the whole Western History narrative, I especially like ancient Greece and Rome and Early American history (1600--1865) The body of knowledge the greeks came up with was astounding. And Roman engineering facinates me.

Particularly like reading about the Roman Empire but would definitely NOT like to have lived then. Also anything to do with Japanese history and events leading up to the American Revolution and the actual war itself.
