The reason I'm posting about this Stalin documentary is that PBS doesn't seem to have it scheduled anytime soon on my local station. Is it worth buying? I think this part of WWII is crucial to learn and remember but doesn't often receive the attention it deserves.

Yeah, it was on here a few weeks ago, pretty good, pretty informative. A lot of the dialog is in Russian, since I have been studying for 15 years I could understand it no problemo, but I wonder how much less a non-speaker would get out of watching it. There are subtitles of course but a lot of Stalin's colloquial speech just does not translate worth a tinker's damn.
Is it worth buying? I would say probably so, if you are interested in the Great Patriotic War.
