Montcalm and the French win the Battle Of The Plains Of Abraham.

In order for the French to win the Battle of the Plains Of Abraham the French would need to prevent the British from capturing the extremely important and extremely strategic Fortress of Louisbourg from the French in 1758. In order for this to happen the French would need to put more dedication and interest in their colonies rather than just the European theatre of the Seven Years War.

If the French went on and prevented the capture of Louisbourg by the British and won the Plains of Abraham and successfully keep their North American colony of New France Canada, the Great Lakes, and everything west of the Mississippi that is in the present day USA would speak French and be under French rule and French influence.

All I know is in Last of the Mohican movie, Montcalm betrayed Colonel Munro, and broke the pact he made with him, but allowing Maqua to attack the British as they retreated.

actually after reading about this Montcalm on wiki, he seems like one tough hombre. He fought on the front lines, and even received sabre wounds before being captured.

Hmm actually it turns out the attack on the retreating British by the natives did in fact happen in real life.
