I collect AOL diskettes and CDs. You can laugh (and I'm sure you are), but I don't see why baseball cards or metal lunchboxes are any better, and lots of people collect those. You can see my collection at

When I was a kid, I had a facination with microphones. I once made one out of headphones and a vacuum cleaner attachment.
Now I collect vintage/antique microphones.

Well, I just read every post and I can't believe the variety here !!!

I've collected a few things over my lifetime.... Husbands.. did someone say husbands... yes well I'm on #3... and that is where my collection will end.

I also collect Lighthouse things...I've got a few of the small figurines.. but also have other stuff with lighthouses... jewelry, clothing, bags etc. Lighthousedepot.com is a great source !! nice little store. Hubby and I took a vacation one year and traveled up the east coast from Home here in Florida....all the way up to Maine. Stopped at many lighthousese along the way... and shopped there at the depot. Great vacation.

My biggest and most valuable collection is Hallmark Christmas Ornaments. I started collecting when I was a teen in the 70's and worked at a Pharmacy that sold them. My collection now numbers over 400 ornaments and other various display items. According to the online database I belong to that helps you place a value on them... It's worth over $10,000. But the memories they hold are priceless. I also buy them for gifts etc. I have two collections that I started the year my kids were born... and one day when they have their own places they will get thier collection. Three years ago I started one for my granddaughter.

Nothing, I can't stand clutter.
I can appreciate someone having an attraction and attachment to a collection. I just personally can take it hanging around the house. It would drive me batty. But I love hearing the stories of what you all collect. Interesting.

Yep .... they are running me out of the house. You Barbie collectors would love my house.....I have closets of collectible Barbies in unopened boxes but my first love is antique dolls and those from the 1950's and 1960's.

Of course I also collect hummels, snowbabies, pitchers, doll houses, vintage doll furniture, vintage childrens clothes, some types of antique furniture, quilts, and on and on.....

Good thing I have a big house.
Put some pictures of your collections on the thread. Sounds interesting.
