The book, Colorado 1870-2000, is terrific if you don't have it. Modern day photographers in Colorado found the exact same spot to retake pics that originally were taken in the late 1800s. Very interesting how some areas haven't changed one bit except for maybe a tree getting larger!

The BIG leather bound one that weighs a ton....... the Colorado one that is. Yes, I have it. I swear those books get WORN OUT from people when they come over. I have them all as "coffee table" books w/ something on top of them but people LOVE these books.

Wow, we really collect strange things!
Evey- I think I am going to have to make you my first heroine (after my grandmother, of course) Hope you'll continue the good work, it sure is needed
Skoe - you can join my mother... She collects movies too, yet we never watch them
I could post thousands of posts on this topic: I come from a family with a history of collecting whatever possible...
One of my favourite collections is my name collection. I have over 16 thousand different names from all over the world!!!
Does anyone here know of a strange name? Please?

if you ask my neighbors they will say I collect plants.
I have a interesting collection of different shells I have brought up from the bottom of the acean while diving they look so much different than the shells you find on the beach. they are not as smooth and shiny because they didn't get "tumbled" in the surf.
I also have a couple of rocks that I have broght home from the biggest is a 5# one from Sedona Az
I guess I will have to bring some back from our trip to Alaska.

My biggest collection is dust ... aside from that antiques, coins, old paper money, mint stamps, original art, and bunch of other stuff I don't need. I'm a prolific collector of far to many things.
