Default Collecting things: what do you collect?

Haven't we all collected or still collect things? My brothers collected bottles, candy paper, nails, etc.
I myself used to collect strange rocks (ok, ANYTING YOU CAN NAME REALLY)

Today, I collect candles, preferably those who have a nice smell (love cherry), and of course...note books...
The note books I understand, but not the candles...

Do you collect something that you just "have to have" when you see it somewhere?
Or, do you know anybody who collects strange things?

I like unique wooden bowls or plates, only have a few...most bought on E-Bay, except for one flat square wood plate. I went to Florida for a few days and had a real small suit case and wanted to bring home something!

I took a trip last year and realized that I was going to be in about 3 states, so I decided to start collecting spoons. I have about 9 so far. They are good because they don't take up any more space in your suitcase.

I collect porcelain biblical characters from The Greatest Story Ever Told figurine collection from Home Interiors. I got most on Ebay and have almost a complete collection in my curio cabinet. They are just beautiful. These are really the only thing I have ever collected. One of my daughters is into Barbie collectible dolls

I collect coffee cups. Try to get one from every state or a city in that state. One of my most memorable is one I got on a visit to New York. It was pre 911 and has the Twin Towers on it. I don't use it now, I've put it up to keep it safe in my china cabinet. Liz

Barbies and magnets. Where ever I go I buy a magnet for my refrigerator - my friends buy for me also. I really like my over seas ones

I collect wooden boxes. I have several from around the world. I also love first edition books. Another fetish is pigs. I don't have many, but the ones I do have are a little on the odd side which I like.
