There doesn't seem to be any ideal forum for a question like this, so I guess I'll start here.

I have a project I want to do (have some custom tee-shirts silkscreened). I want to use a stylized image. But the thing is, I don't have the foggiest idea on where to have said image produced. Lord knows I have no artistic skills to do it myself.

Here's an example of what I'm looking for.

Take this picture of an airliner:

And how it was stylized and depicted for the packaging of the model kit of the same type:

I want to do something similar to that with a picture of a reel to reel tape deck like this:

WHERE would I look to have something like that done?

It isn't. the URL must've been changed or something.

Here is what I was originally referring to:

Many T-shirt places can do this for you. Does someplace like this help?

OK, this does not sound like you need an artist, you need a graphic designer. Am I wrong? They can convert your photos into graphic elements with software rather than oil paint. Much easier.

So, this is really easy. First, you get a license to use the photos that you are working with as resource materials which costs $50 per photo from AP, then you post a work for hire listing at . . . . what's the name of that site? I'll think of it and report, but you will get some very talented person from Mumbai or whatever to do the whole thing for $150 or so.

I had a 3000 word story written by a college professor in England for $125.

I'll think of that site . . . .

Here it is:

Well....sort of. I just want a stylized rendition of the tape deck. I don't need any of the mountain/backdrop scenery a-la the Reno Air airplane. I just showed that as an example of what I'm looking for.

Well thanks anyway. I guess I'll just go back to square one.
