Ok. I thought IPMS also include autos. Have you been to hyperscale.com? they have autos/ships/armor/planes/space

I understand regarding the travel. I never attended Wichita or Phoenix etc. This is the Nationals though. The Big One.

Yes, I know they have cars also but the majority of the members always seem to look down to us, really never understood that, at the end, we are all modelers.

I belong to at least 18 forums and out of those 18, 4 at the least have everything from model ships to remote control cars.

I understand as it appears to be mostly a/c and armour. I am showing up with a ship model hopefully. Not finished yet.

I notice in your area that IPMS Tidewater has a show coming up very soon. I know your work is trophy earning quality. Magazine level as well. Honest.

I hope you appreciate the essay in the link about different types of modelers:

Jeff and the

Gave me a chuckle.

That was funny and in a way, true in many aspects.

Cruz, stop posting photos of real vehicles and claiming they are models.

I'm working on a Trumpeter 1:200 scale USS Arizona at the moment... It's freakishly complicated but it's going well. I don't think I can ever finish it, because I won't have anywhere to put it when it's done!

Here's some pics, because what good is a thread without tons of pics anyway?

I've finished the major superstructure components and am now adding the railings and small detail. After that I'll do the weathering. It's taken me since January and about 60-80 hours to get this far... and there's so much left to do.

I think the folks at steelnavy.com or modelwarships.com would love to see pics of your ships.
