Any Cross Stitchers Here?
I love stitching and would like to hear from other stitchers about their favorite designers.

Big time stitcher here with a tiny bedroom devoted to my stash. Right now I am doing a Sweetheart Tree band in blue on white (Blueberries 'N Cream). I love her designs. But I also do Shepherds Bush and almost anything else. A couple of weeks ago went to the House of Stitches garage sale where women from all over the area could sell their excess stash. What a great day.
Let me know what you are interested in.
Dont do the HAED allover designs. Take too long.
Belong to a local internet group of stitchers from Indiana that gets together regularily. I travel with stitching as a focus occasionally.
Leave soon for a cruise set up by Sue Hillis. We are going to meet Jennifer Aiken-Smith of Dragon Dreams in Moncton, New Brunswick. Then in October going to California to an Elegant Stitch retreat. The reason for the trip is to see my parents but we arranged it around the retreat.

I love to cross stitch. I usually make patterns from Cross Country Stitching magazine.
I made a Sue Hillis baby accouncement and framed it in pewter. It was so beautiful, I almost didn't want to give it to the baby . I liked it because it was the only pattern I found that wasn't a cartoon and looked a little more classy, for lack of a better word. It looked old fashioned is what I am trying to say.

Right now I am stitching a Shepherds Bush stocking. It is on 18 ct. natural linen and I love working with the perle cotton thread.
I also love Bent Creek, Jeremiah Junction and Cross Country Stitching Magazine designs. Lizzie Kate is fun, too.
I love to sit and watch tv and stitch, and I also like to stitch with friends (and talk and eat LOL)
If you have any ideas on organizing you stitching room, I would appreciate them. Right now my room is,well, a mess

I used to cross stitch a few years back but it just kind of faded away. Reading this has me thinking of starting up again.
My favorite cross stitch activity was to put designs on shirts, especially intials. Maybe I'll look for some really interesting letters. I love celtic designs. Does anyone know a good book with some simple designs?
P.S. Someone should post pictures of their finished projects. I would love to see them.

I am a stitchaholic also but I really don't have any favorites just what ever catches my eye in magazines, the countless books I have on cross stitching and when I browse the craft stores whatever I see that I like, alot of the stuff I have stitched over the years has gone to others as gifts!

Yes, a lot of my stitching has been given as gifts, too. I try to take pics of it before I give it away and write down when I stitched it.
Stitching has gotten me through some tough times - by calming me and making me think more clearly. It has a way of focusing you.
I pretty much stitch primitive county, country, and samplers. Maybe from different designers, but seem to always come back to the same kind of designs.
