Pixie, I LOVE board games!!!!!

I come from a family that is big on getting together and playing games. In fact, I can't understand it when families aren't like that! They are really missing out. Boggle is my favorite. Anybody else play that? I am the Boggle QUEEN. I love Pictionary, charades, chess, card games and lots more. And logic puzzles, crosswords and stuff.

I love collecting rocks, too! I think I like too many things. Time for me to shut up now.

Yes, we play it around here. The thing I like about it is, if you can't round up anyone else to play, you can play by yourself. Kind of like Solitare, which I also play.

Boggle rocks! But the point of playing Boggle, to me, is to prove to my inferior little brother that I have a higher verbal intelligence and a much wider vocabulary. If you play by yourself, where's the fun of rubbing it into you favorite family member's face when you win?

Ahhhh... sibling rivalry...

Model airplanes, cars, trains, ships, military vehicles. Heck anything that can be shrunk down and can be put together! Working on a 1/48 Grumman F3F2 Marine BiPlane Fighter. Looks like this:

Mountain_time_Blues - Beautiful work!
I use to collect model airplanes, but that changed as soon as I got married. Now I have to help my wife around the house and constantly improve something in it!
If I would win substantial amount then I would probably go back to model airplanes …Oh, but then my wife would probably want bigger house , and I would still have to help her around the house and… never mind… I don’t want to win the lottery.

Well, I don't know about the sibling rivalry personally, since I have no siblings, but my two children would agree with you! My daughter is the older one, and at twenty-five, married, and two children, she still tries to lord it over her "little" brother, (nineteen and 6'5") But, she doesn't have as much luck as she used to when they were younger.

No wonder you are having a blast in AZ. Good for you, you are in the right place, that's for sure.

LOL! Pictionary used to be one of our favorites...my aunt would have us all over (about 20) of us and we'd play. It would end up in a screaming match because we'd all start yelling things at the same time. It was so confusing but so much fun!!! Whenever we go places or have company, the board games seem to work their way out onto the table.

Jenga is another game that's very addictive!!!
