I'm new to Charlotte and I've been looking for a good hobby store. Not specifically trains or RC cars, but one that carries a good variety of paints, like Tamiya, Model Masters, Mr Color and Alclad. Also, carrying hobby and model tools.

No, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, AC Moore and Hobby Town USA do not suffice. I've looked up a few places and called around but a lot of the numbers are disconnected, I've only been able to get in touch with all of two or three places. I figured that with Charlotte being as large as it is, I wouldn't have a hard time finding a good shop =( Trying to prevent from buying online or calling the store I use to regular back home to ship to me.

Can anyone please recommend a few places with CURRENT contact info? Thanks!

Online would most likely the best way too go... varity & price. Most vendors have a site.. get the code number and shop around and save.. Tower Hobbies has a good source for what your looking for..but compare price and size.. first.

I posted in the Charlotte Forum and thought I'd post here too, thanks.

I do most of my shopping online but sometimes I need things in a hurry, so having a local shop option is always a good backup.
