Just curious if anyone still macrame's anymore. I remember it was all the rage when I wore a younger fella's clothes.
Can still make a fair hammock... Just don't tell anyone or they might think I am one of those long haired hippie types.
I got heavy into it in 1987, just after my divorce. Burned out pretty much in '89 or so, although I've still got some 1,500 yards of the stuff I've been hauling around ever since. I weren't no hippie, either, but a Navy swabby.
ive been thinking for a few years that it will come back and become all the rage. sure as heck seems better than all this scrapbooking that everyone seems to love

Well hopefully it will come back into style as apparently Delta Planter has a quarter mile of the cord! Good grief that would make a bunch of hammocks, a few pieces of deco furniture and enough plant hangers to keep the gardens of Babylon swinging.
I LOVE DOING MACRAME...................and heck with all the new rope and colors u can't lose in deco...........LOL
shoot it's something i can complete and i know what it is...not like my knitting......i am so twisted and tied up in my balls of yarn..................
