Hey everyone, I have a question. I absolutly cannot sing lol but I LOVE to do it! I want to take voice lessons but can someone who cant sing be taught to have a beautiful voice? I found online a music academy in my area offering lessons for $250 a month and before I invest this kind of money into a hobby, is this a realistic goal? To be able to sing? My dream voice would be a cross between Beyonce and Jessica Simson lol. I want to be able to sing in the church choir (solo would be awesome!) as well as to my future boyfriends since I write songs as well Thanks for your input!

I'm in the same boat-I sing all the time ALONE and am quite aware that I have a limited range but I wonder if a teacher could help me improve. I just want to NOT make a fool of myself at Karaoke.

$250 seems a bit high to me, especially in your area. How many lessons are included?

If I were you, I would try several teachers before I settle on one and pay them by the lesson.

Some people are more gifted than others for sure, but you never know how well you can sing until you try! Just remember that we all have different voices! Good luck!!

I took a Voice class at the local community college. It cost less than $100 total including the book for an entire semester.

The class instructor also gave private lessons, and charged $100 an hour.

I considered the class a good deal.
