What is your hobby or what do you do in your free time?

Who or what got you started on your hobby?

What is it about your hobby that keeps your interest?

1) I do needle work with plastic canvas

2) as I was doing pen pal this person I wrote back & forth with has this hobby therefore with all the talk about it, got me interested in working with plastic canvas.

3) the end results of my finished project, then I can't wait to get started onto the next project.

My hobbies are amateur radio (ham radio), satellite spotting with binoculars, motorcycling, and reading. I'm a professional musician but music also counts as a hobby! I especially like ham radio because one never knows where the next contact will be coimng in from. Some days conditions are bad, but the next I'll be talking to someone in Ukraine or New Zealand, all by just bouncing radio waves off the ionosphere.

Building classic/muscle cars, building model cars and amateur radio.

Growing up to a dad who did autobody in the 80's got me started on cars. Dad had a restored 68 Camaro SS (he did all the work to) and a 71 Nova he got from his dad that got me interested in cars.

Model cars were sort of a secondary thing to building the real thing. I started very young, way back in 1986. I recently pretty much quit building model cars though as it started getting more and more expensive. Especially now that the models, which used to run $7-$10 a box, are now as much as three times that.

Amateur radio...it all started 3 years ago when I moved from NC to MO and a buddy gave me a CB radio. The chats I had with truckers, and the invaluable info was awesome. However I later learned no one is on the CB to talk to anymore so I studied for my ham ticket and was licensed just over a month ago, been enjoying it more than the CB radio ever since.
