Literature- I'm always reading books, and most often more than one book at the same time. I'm quite particular regarding genres and style though: I prefer the classics and what some literary critics call "high literature". Not to the exclusion of some, few, contemporary authors that I love, of course, and of countless examples of "popular literature" that are highly amusing! I read prose and poetry, fiction and non-fiction (history, philosophy, linguistics, art, mythology and religion, etc), the cereal box and the TV guide lol. I love books dealing with literary criticism and theory. I used to write fiction myself, but not anymore...

Music- I don't know what my life would have been without it. I love many kinds of music ranging from classical to Eurodance, from folk to drone metal, from electroacoustic to bebop, from house to new wave... Virtually any style has a few artists/bands I enjoy. I listen quietly, I cook to its rhythm, I dance to the point of exhaustion, it makes me sleep, it's there when I'm working... Unfortunately, I can only play some basic piano *sigh*

Visual arts- especially films, architecture and painting (I paint and I draw as a hobbie, but I can't say I'm terrific). I can watch 6 films in a row and still crave for more! I would gladly spend 10 hours in a good museum and visit the following day again. I love the beauty of ancient buildings and I study them thoroughly.

Working out- dancing (energetically, for hours on end), badminton, tennis, swimming, hiking, aerobics, yoga...

Also: video games (my favourite kinds being RPG and strategy games), watching some sports (like soccer, tennis and gymnastics), cooking, home decorating, collecting maps, pottery...

I love to read and when I have the chance to get out of the city, I love to hike. Hiking for me is so relaxing and peaceful.

Right now I am collecting baseball cards, into my 3rd year.

Nothing fancy, just the current Topps run of MLB cards.
