snail mail pen pals???
I hear this is the place to post....I'm 58 single wt.fm in florida....living with my two cats and would like a few pen pals thru-out the usa....would really like some out in alaska and wyoming territory.....am an avid reader...studied art and art history in college and am a mild mannered welfare worker at present.Spend my day on a computer...don't want to spend my free time at home on it...But have always loved to write letters.I shouldv'e been born in the "victorian" era....I have a love for all that kind of thing!!!! As I am moderately disabled and don't get out much..I need a way to meet people...I hope this turns out to be a good way.......please drop me a note if you may want to give this a shot.....Thanks....Peach  wave wave |

Today it's SOOOOOO much easier to correspond on computers via Email, blogs, Facebook, etc. And you can even talk in real time to people who are online at the same time as you if you use a microphone along with the speakers that came with your computer (called instant messaging).
I've developed long-standing friendships with a number of people who I've never met face to face, and likely never will. I began corresponding with them after finding them in a forum such as this, in which we have a common interest to keep the chat flowing.
For example: I've long participated in forums that interest those with artistic (visual art) skills. The largest of the kind is probably: wetcanvas.com.

I still love snail mail. I love writing what I really feel and such. Can't do that on e-mail, because all of the stupid restrictions and such.
I'll be your snail mail pen-pal. Just let me know.

I'm 63, single (divorced), also have two indoor cats and live in Ft Worth. I still like to use snail mail.

Would you all be interested in making greeting cards for AIDS patients?
I know of a charity that needs people to make cards....if you like snail mail, you might enjoy it. And you would be helping others.
