Tourists Can Go On a Gut-Wrenching, High-Speed Bobsled Ride Down an Olympic Track.

Over the years I have signed plenty of liability waivers before doing thrill-seeking adventures such as bungee jumping, dog sledding and rock climbing, but I have never had somebody explicitly tell me that I will get injured. Not just a chance of injury here, but a promise of at least some bumps and bruises.

I DID!!!!

I rode the Lake Placid bobsled a few years ago. It's very fast and is over with before you know it.

They also make it easy to do. No real athleticism required.

On the recent Winter Olympics, a video was shown taken by a camera mounted on a sled going down the run. The turns came up amazingly quickly at 95 mph with cornering forces of 5 G's. Yikes! I think it was stated that half of the bobsleds crashed on the way down. No, thanks. I wouldn't mind riding a more moderate run, but not that one.

Bobsled? Maybe.

Luge or skeleton? Hell no!

If they hadn't had weight limits, I would have been in one long ago.

Reinforced Flexible Flyer sled and a bobsled/luge track. That would be a major rush!
