Long overdue for Datsyuk to get some recognition. Not only was he the best, but also the funniest.

He's very talented...but he doesn't play the body as much as Ovie.

I don't watch the Caps enough (despite living in DC area now) to know if that's so or not, but Dats is good at hitting people. This award was voted by other Russian players. A great honor. Even Semin voted for Dats!

Pavel is worth the price of admission! He does amazing things with the puck and many players (including Red Wings) watch him and just shake their heads. Madono said " how the hell did he do that? referring to stick handling between players. Watch his training video on You Tube.

Datsyuk is a much better all around player than ovechkin, when he doesnt do in hitting, he makes up for 10x in backchecking and helping out on defense.

Let's hope they play each other in the Finals! Then I may be able to get tickets to see them in person. That way I can come back and post an eyewitness account of which one is better. However, I'm sure I'll come to the same conclusion I already have; that they are both great!

I'll take the guy who has won 3 straight Selke's and leads the league in takeaways over the past 5 years by a WIDE margin.
