Anybody follow?

My Gophers are already out to a bad start. 10 freshman, but getting swept at home by Nebraska Omaha??? Youre kidding me.

Wow, I didn't know Nebraska even had a hockey team.

Go Dartmouth!

Nebraska-Omaha has built its program to a respectable level over the past few years, so they really shouldn't be "surprising" WCHA fans anymore.

Then again - I know Hockey East fans who are still "surprised" that UMass and Merrimack field decent teams, even though those programs have been around many years....

Nebraska Omaha has a very good coach and a few ex-Gophers on the staff. Big team as well.

I used to watch, when I thought Michigan would be my #1 college. Guess I'll follow it again. I'm rooting for everyone, that plays AGAINST Michigan

Nebraska-Omaha is my alma mater, so I follow the Mavericks. I haven't made it to a game this season yet.

I'm glad to see them in the WCHA and doing well.

Yeah, I follow. And, yeah, that was BAD. The Gophers might need a new coach. They are getting Kyle Rau next season from Eden Prairie, who just won the Minnesota AA state tournament, but Rau needs to bulk up a bit to be a WCHA star. Still, he is a goal scorer and very quick.

There is talk of that Teak. The Don has 4 seasons in a row of finishing 5th place or lower in the conference. Not acceptable for the puck program. Rau may be better served doing a year in the USHL, that seems to help players. We need to get a few guys who will stay for a couple years, and aren't afraid to go into the corners against the 21 year old 'freshman' from North Dakota.

Hahaha....yeah, got to laugh at that one. ND is famous for their recruiting, eh? Still, they do bring some true frosh in, like Nelson from Warroad. But a year or two of juniors does seem to help most players before university.
