If you're a parent you're a bad one - letting your kids cheer for evil and all

You should hope for a loss so they can experience disapointment, losing and all that real sports fans have to go for ....... figuring how they've adopted a team that hasn't missed the playoffs in their lifetime (or the sharks lifetime.......) shows a lack of toughness

What better time than now to thicken that skin?!

LOL -- My nephew and his little friends live in Ann Arbor, so I guess you could say they're cheering for the local team which just happens to be a perennial winner.

But he's also a Cleveland Browns fan (like his dear auntie), so even at his young, tender age he is well acquainted with disappointment. *sigh*

What history have you been reading?

1993-94 Defeated Detroit in 7
1994-95 Swept by Detroit
2006-07 Lost to Detroit in 6
2009-10 Defeated Detroit in 5

Just what constitutes "owning" in your mind?

Who cares about the past? It's 2011 and the two teams are equally matched. I'm going to the game tomorrow and I hope the Sharks win.... but I think it's 50-50 as to who will win.

If you're so sure that either team will win.... fly to Vegas and place a bet.

By the way, I bought a ticket that the Sharks will go all the way... but I have no doubt that tomorrow's game is a toss up.

Gosh, I don't recall picking one. Just calling out obvious fan B.S.

I don't gamble, anyway.

1993-94 was the greatest upset ever
and last year 4-1 and which stopped the defending champs from advancing.

94-95 = Sharks were fairly a new organization.

Well the greatest upset in 93-94 in the history of NHL and last year 4-1.

We owned them in the regular season this year.

How much are the tickets?
If Neimi plays like he did in Game 6 and Sharks get 40+ shots on goals, Sharks will win.

It's payback time! (although that wasn't the greatest upset ever).

The Sharks did not play the Pens last year.
