I meant to type HOW.
Can the MOD PLEASE EDIT?
My guess is the family would rather not share the cause, what ever their reason(s). I know you want to know because you are shocked but no speculation will help. It is very sad when a young man dies no matter the cause.

According to Michael Russo on Twin Cities KFAN the Hennepin Co ME will not be releasing any information today on Boogaard's death. Russo said that it was too early for him to speculate on cause of death but he did not think it was related to his recent concussion.

nice piece by the Wild Strib beat writer here...

So long to the Boogey Man | StarTribune.com

local station ESPN 1500 is reporting that Henn Co ME spokeswoman said while autopsy was conducted today, it may be two weeks before cause of death is released as is the case with wait for lab tests when there is no physical trauma involved.

his parents have donated his brain to scientific research so they can understand what , if any , effect the concussions could've had. Very good of them.

all these athletes have gotten so big and strong, the playing surfaces haven't gotten any bigger and the equipment is bigger and tougher.

I really think the NHL missed the boat when they expanded and built so many new arenas, they should've gone to olympic ice size, more space, let the skill players play, less obstruction, less penalties to call, less controversy over such calls in the "new' nhl.

I know many canadians won't agree with me on that, and probably many americans as well but that's My Opinion.

Metamucil....

I wish they'd just put some cushioning on the boards. And I wish they could stop play, review and THEN get the penalty correct.
