I'm a Habs and Rangers fan, so I've seen him on both teams. This guy is such a useless player for the money he gets, it's not even funny.

He suddenly decides to become a goal scorer in a contract year with the Devils(2005-06), putting up 33-51-84 and +8. He was getting $2 million that year, so he certainly deserved a raise. He plays 1 more year for them and has an average year for his standards and decides to go to the other side of the Hudson for more money.

The Rangers give him a 7 year contract and aside from his first year for them, he hasn't put up more than 59 points since.

He gets traded to Montreal in the summer of '09. Now he's going to be 32, hasn't hit 60 points since '07-'08, is coming off a season of 7-31-38 and -15, and isn't a free agent until 2014.

I've always been concerned about ex-Devils bolting for the Rangers(see Bobby Holik), but this guy is pathetic. $8 million/year to put up 38 points and a -15. Does Scott Gomez have any fans left?

Well believe it or not, he does. Suprisingly because if I am not mistaken, he's from Alaska...correct? Anyways, every kid in Mexico is actually cheering for the guy. Which is nice, but he probably doesn't even know that there are down here watching!
