But Torres is a dirty player who guns for certain players, and he was even completely remorseless after the game saying it was "just a hockey hit". Dude, your skates were almost a foot off the ice at the moment of impact! Yeah.... Whatever! This was completely by design, and it may very likely be a series ender for the Hawks. I'm not a Chicago fan, but I recognize horsecrap when I smell it. I liked how the other Phoenix players say they didn't even see the hit, even their goalie says he didn't see it. That's kinda funny, 'cause all the Blackhawks and their fans sure as hell saw it.
I agree and NHL has to look at that hit if they are serious about protecting NHL players. I just dont have any idea how Shananhan has weighed in with these penalties across the board assuming he takes into account intent, actual injury and past offenses.

Doesn't surprise me that Phoenix players didn't see the hit; most would stick up for the team and this is the easiest answer they can give without admitting anything.

Is there a goalie in the Flyers/Pens that isn't a sieve. 10 goals halfway through the second here in game 4.

This series is out-of-control on many fronts. I was hoping for a Flyers sweep but I'll take this for the entertainment value.

It's not a hockey game, it's a football game. What the heck ... The Flyers should get Bernie Parent out there; he couldn't do any worse.

I walked away when it became 8-3 as I had to go to a meeting but wondered wth happened with the Flyers tonight. Dumb penalties, not skating.

Kings up 1-0 through one.

Exactly! No sweeps first round. It didn't bother me that the Pens were scoring, I couldn't understand why Philly wasn't! Like the announcer said, they completely copied the Pens' bad performance. Who will have more self-control in the next game...

Go Ottawa!!

Who was that team that played the Penquins last night? The forwards were too busy cherry picking to back check, the defense dropped back so far on Penquin rushes that they almost ended up on Broad Street, and Byrz played like his skates were tied together. Now a local columnist is suggesting that they put Leighton in. Oh yeah, that will solve the problem!

Maybe the suspensions the Penguins got were addition by subtraction in terms of defense.
