So if I had to pick a team it would be the Kings. It would be hard not to notice what they are doing this year in the playoffs. This would be unheard of in basketball!! To have an 8th seed beat the 1 seed in 5 games, and sweep the 2 seed, and take a one game lead over Phoenix, I have to ask you hocky fans, are they that good?? Why didn't they play like this all season to be a higher seed?

From what I have seen, they have not only won there games, but clearly outplayed their opponets.

You are right the Kings are that good,Tune in tonight and watch the Kings win the Stanley Cup..yawn.

As an 8, they beat the 1, 2 and 3 seeds en route to the Finals, in which they have dominated. It's one of the greatest post season runs in history.

I hope they sweep tonight.

I have not been much of a hockey fan, I didn't wantch one game this year until after they beat Vancouver in the first round. That is when they got my attention because LA was an 8 seed beating a 1 seed. In basketball that is nearly impossible. But in basketball, an 8 seed winning it all like the Kings will do tonight is in fact impossible.

By the way, my new favorite hockey player is Anze Kopitar!!! Back in the day it was Luc Robitaille.

Go Kings!!

They're having a great run and all, but I wouldn't go that far with it. I guess if you're a Kings fan you might think that way.

No, an 8 beating a 1, 2, and 3 is nothing special at all. Second American-born captain to win the Cup (WHEN they win) and Conn Smyth and Vezina winner (also American) second in post season history GAA (ATM) is nothing special.

Sadly, we'll have to wait a few more nights for the next installment of the Cinderella story.

The Devils introduced a few big bodies into the equation and looked pretty impressive. Tallinder was all over the place. From the limited amount that I saw, I'd say that New Jersey out-Kinged-the-Kings in so far as they kept a majority of the Kings play in the offensive zone to the perimeter.

Both teams looked pretty sloppy in transition play though some of that may have had to do with the condition of the ice.

I didn't say it wasn't "special". :roll eyes:

BTW, they haven't won anything yet.

Aside from the fact that they "haven't won anything yet" would you like to share anything? Any analysis more than an essential historic realty?

If the kings go on to win the cup (which there is a good chance) I will be glad to see willie Mitchel hoist the cup since Vanouver had to let him go after he had some concusion like symptoms in the 2009-2010 season and in the 2010-2011 season

We were one win away from the Cup and he lost out not being able to get his run for the cup and at 35 he is not only the oldest player on the kings but it is his first and last shot of winning Lord Stanley's cup and add in L.A. has never won a Stanley cup before (like the Canucks) I Really hope the Kings can win it and make franchise history.

Go! Kings Go! lets have a Westren Confrence team take the cup back from the east..

If your wins or loses just enjoy every moment of them being able to be plaing in the SCF ....it is something one of the hardest things to go that far and some thing to be proud of.

and he did not know how long it would take to feel well enough to come back and get the ok to play and was clearedtake contact.

He had been with the Canucks for 31/2 seasons
