I'm disgusted that grown, educated human beings can't come to a compromise. This nonsense should have been over within a week.

Sadly, though, people will come back to the game once the league resumes play.

I'm writing off this season whether they come back or not.

It will take a lot for the NHL to win me back. I've still been following hockey nearly as much though.

I've always enjoyed the World Junior tournament as much, if not more, than any pro event. I've been enjoying it immensely this year - the Switzerland/Russia quarterfinal was outstanding. As much as the Swiss have made great strides in their hockey program, I wasn't really expecting them to take one of the world's powerhouses down to the wire. It's also nice to see team Canada playing well - they seem to be getting better with every game. Subban's been outstanding lately, despite early worries.

I've been following my old hometown WHL team (Swift Current Broncos) fairly closely, as well, though there's been less to cheer about, as they've been wavering between mediocre and awful all year. We've got a good goalie, but that's about it.

I admit I really start watching hockey as the year ends. But have caught a few of the World Jr games and they have been exciting.

I'll watch but my enthusiasm has dampened a bit.

It's a shame for the Kings franchise. And now the NBA Clippers are a hot ticket, squishing any momentum the Kings had in the no. 2 media market.

Yes...I am a lifelong fan and hockey player. Now, I could care less about the NHL with the ridiculous amount of canceled seasons/ lockouts over the last 20 years.

I'd love to see this league crumble to pieces. Never thought I'd say that, but at least I have one less sport to follow. I will always play the sport, but I am done following it.

Can't wait! Looks like it will be a shortened season, but I will be right back to form. Will pay any price they ask for Center Ice. Just can't get enough!

I guess they lost me. The lockout coupled with the Islanders upcoming relocation has sapped my interest. I am surprised that I was not excited about the lockout ending. Time will tell if my interest increases.

No. Disappointing yes, but in the end everyone will forget about it 2 years from now since the NHL has THE single best playoffs out of any sport on this Earth.

Not at all. NCAA (WCHA) kept me entertained.
