How many will just go running back to the arena when the strike is over? or have you discovered other activities to replace hockey?
Personally other sports like football or just other entertainment is pleasing me, many times i tape WWE Raw on Monday night and watch it Saturday. one thing for sure i've lost any notion of ever going to another NHL game..

Not me!
I'll be back when they are.

WWE Raw is definitely NOT a viable substitute....

I dug out the skates and now go down to the rink and join in the games, have to say that I still got it even playing against younger competition. Checks 'em into the boards! They're starting to avoid me.

I'm sure those little kids will be glad when I'm back on the couch getting my hockey fix on the flat-screen however.

We can only go back now and cry and whine of what was and what will never be.

For you Buffalo hockey fans who still whine about this:

5. Brett Hull's skate in the crease (93 letters)

Going by the rulebook in 1999, this Brett Hull goal on Dominik Hasek shouldn't have counted. Brett Hull's skate in the crease was the worst call in the history of sports. No other call has caused such destruction and devastation. It has led the people of Buffalo (and western New York transplants) to question their very existence. We ask ourselves, "If the Sabres team that year could be cheated out of the Cup, what other deep-held tenets will also fall?" Not only did the no-goal cost the Sabres the Stanley Cup, it has caused property values in Buffalo to decrease, pollution levels on Lake Erie to skyrocket, increased snowfall in the winter months, higher tolls on the New York State Thruway, nearly tasteless chicken wings to promulgate, and a renewed interest in Jim Kelly's car dealerships. I'm convinced the "no-goal" was the seventh sign from God that the end of civilization is very near.

No. Hockey is still a great sport and I'd be at minor league games if a club was in my area. If the strike leads to the demise of the Coyotes, I hope the Roadrunners return.

You guys are some forgiving fans.
Bettman and the owners trash an entire hockey season for the second time in seven years and you are ready to feed them money for their product as soon as they return to the ice as their thanks?

When the 2004-05 season was cancelled, I swore I would never go to another NHL game. When hockey came back, I went to more games in a season than I ever had before.

Things are different for me now, if they give away Center Ice as an "I'm sorry" I'll be more apt to watch games, otherwise I have other things to fill my time this time around.

To be clear, I won't actually go to the games. I live in Oregon. But, I miss going to the games and will watch on TV when they're back.
