How funny was it to see Doug Murray playing a forward in front of the net on the closing PP?

My thoughts.....

You start Fleury in game 1 vs the Sens.

I know that sounds counterintuitive because you normally stick with the hotter guy.

But let's say you go with Vokoun and he stinks. Not just loses....because any team can lose. I mean really stinks as in he's the reason you lost.

Then your only choice is to go back with Fleury who's confidence is now ruined.

So show Fleury you still have confidence in him and play him until he sucks (if that happens).

Or.....just tell both goalies they are going to share the net assignment like in the regular season.

It's worth the risk as it's just one game and you have more to come back and win it if Fleury turns out to be the wrong choice.

They have gone with Vokoun when he was hot... and Fleury came back just fine.

I don't think MAF's "confidence is now ruined" at all.

They only switched to Vokoun when Fleury's poor play dictated they had to. It was only luck that Vokoun was better....no one knew if he would be or not.

If you watched Fleury's post game interview after game 4, he looked like a dear caught in headlights. He was thoroughly destroyed and it showed. I'd say his confidence was ruined.

Can he put that behind him now is the question. He's shown in the past that he can. Hopefully he can.
