The Penguins should spend less time trying to play tough and more time trying to play hockey.

Sounds like a "fair weather" fan. Just because it's never been done before, doesn't mean it CAN'T be done. I am not even a Pens fan, but I would love to see them play the way I know they can play. It will be difficult to come back, but not impossible. One game at a time!

Hahahahaha...
LOL! Fair weather, my @ss!
I have season tickets... and I have been a fan since the '70 (when there were 2000 in the seats, our family was 5 of them).

How about you?

Like I said, I am not even a Pens fan. I live 325 miles from Pittsburgh. But I am a huge hockey fan and attend 5 or 6 games a year in Pittsburgh. I only attended my first Pens game in 1984. My brother moved to the Burgh in 1982. I have pictures from when I sat 1st row behind benches in Mario's rookie year when there were a few thousand at the Igloo. I am only saying, have some faith in your team. Even Flyer fans have faith til the bitter end. And they SUCK!

My comment does not make me a fair weather fan, nor does it indicated any lack of faith.

Do you seriously disagree with my comment?
Do you really believe that continuing to play the way they have the last two game WILL get them the series?

Actually, it sounds more like realism to me. The fact that a comeback from an 0-2 deficit has never been done in the Conference Finals round makes it unreasonable to expect it to be done. I'd be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong, but I'm not about to get my hopes up just to have them crushed by overwhelming probability. And she's right that the Penguins will not advance if they keep playing the way they have. That's simply a fact, not a lack of faith.

I honestly hope Dan Bylsma is gone if the Penguins lose this series, because this will have been the fourth post-season in a row losing to an inferior seed in the conference. He won a Stanley Cup with a team put together by Michele Therrien, and then immediately turned them into a bunch of post-season chokers after he started molding them into something more his style. I'm not impressed with him as the coach. He's done less with more than any other coach in the NHL.

Well, technically speaking, it has been done before....by the Penguins in fact.

The only difference was they lost the first two ROAD games.

I said Pens in 7 from the beginning. Which means they would lose 3.

But the WAY they are playing way below their talent level doesn't give me much hope.

Sorry then, my memory must be going!

I thought no one has won a Championship series (in the modern format) after losing the first two games.
What year was that?
