Dats had another amazing goal tonight! They still lost in overtime though.

Tough loss, since they practically dominated most of the game. Just the Wings' luck this year I guess. They were showing how many man games were lost due to injury this season and the Wings' total far surpassed any other team. But I will stick to my guns in that I think this will be good experience for the young guys we so desperately are going to need to be successful in the coming years.

Realignment rumors saying Detroit will move East next season. The prospect of more games against Toronto and Montreal is appealing but what about the rivalry with Chicago? For historical and economic purposes I would hope the schedule generators would pit them against each other in, at least, one home and away series.

I can always remember growing up and having to miss many of the Wings' playoff games that were aired at 10:30pm EST because they were playing the Sharks or Ducks. I would be excited for them to have more east coast games. Detroit is in a unique situation in that it is clearly a central/Midwest city, but is in the eastern time zone. If not for that, I'd say keep them in a division that plays teams like Dallas, Chicago, St. Louis, Minnesota, and Nashville.

That's what I would prefer over this proposal.

You learn something new every day. A piece of Red Wings history I was not aware of.

Evaluate this statement:

Jimmy Howard is an over-rated starting goalie and should be relinquished of his contract.
