I am beginning to think it's time for Holland to go. Bring Yzerman back to Detroit.

I'm not really a big sports fan but I grew up in Michigan, skating on a pond, with pond hockey on the pond one over.
So if I have a sport, and a team - its the Red Wings.
Unfortunately having grown up in an era when girls did not play team sports its hard for me to pick up.
I wish the Hockey channels would grow the fandom by hosting more instructive game reviews. Is that such a weird idea?
O an hour a week where they really break down the game so that beginners could see how it all works?
Anyway, heres a link to a review of the first 25% of the season so far

Detroit Red Wings Gameday: What are your thoughts on the first 25 percent of the season? | MLive.com

From the article:
The Red Wings also lead the NHL with seven overtime/shootout losses. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Personally i say its a bad thing. They've done this in recent past seasons, get to the playoffs, and then are just too damn tired from all the overtime games all season and run out of steam. They are a bit older as a team.

Go Red Wings!

The finesse game does not always work. They need to get tougher. Tootoo should still be in the fold. They need to stop signing 40 year old players past their prime.

Wings win a high scoring affair tonight, 7-4, over the Devils of Jersey. Hopefully this leads to a huge swing in momentum for Detroit. Right now they sit pretty at 8th but could end up in a dog fight to keep the playoff streak alive.

Given the lack of activity in this thread over the past months, it's clear there has not been much worth talking about this season. Let's hope tonight is a spark into a higher gear.

Better. Currently holding the 7th seed in the playoffs. Plenty of time to improve or blow it. Hoping the streak will live.

Holy Nyquist!

I don't know how the Wings pulled off that win last night. They got outplayed in every way shape and form.

Nyquist is on fire. I think we're watching the rise of the next breakout star. He's putting Ovechkin and Crosby to shame right now.
