Round 2
West:
Chicago v. Detroit
Chicago in 6…Chicago’s depth and skill will be too much in the long run for Detroit. I do expect very fun hockey to watch.

Chicago's depth and skill overcome the Wings, but it took OT in Game 7.

LA vs. SJ
LA in 7…this is really tough to decide. It all comes down to a game 7 and home ice advantage for LA.

I was spot on about this one...

East:
Pittsburgh v. Ottawa
Pittsburgh in 7…I am not confident about the Pens goaltending, but I think the depth, skill, and experience of their skaters will carry them to the Eastern Conference finals.

I got Pittsburgh, but was wrong on the # of games. The Pens completely steamrolled the Sens.

NY Rangers v. Boston
NYR in 6…Like Pit v. Ott & LA v. SJ, I expect very physical and very close games. Lundquist and the coaching of Torts will be the difference.

Well, I was completely wrong about this one...

Round 3
West:Chicago over LA in 7
I expect this series for the Hawks to be a flashback to their '09 and '10 series against Vancouver. I think the Hawks will scratch and crawl their way to a hard fought series win.

East: Pens over Bruins in 6
The Pens have too much depth and will overwhelm Boston.

With 8:45 left left in the 3rd last night, there was an altercation in front of the net as the Hawks went down ice on a rush. Just as he is supposed to do, the trailing ref blew the play dead. No one got all up in arms over that call. Was very similar to the play in the Hawks/Wings game with the disallowed goal, but the "experts" never said a word last night.

I will say this as a Kings fan:

If Chicago is able to rock Quick at Staples the same way they did last night at United, it makes no difference which team the Hawks play in the next round. They will dismantle either Pitt or Boston.

I don't know what was said in the locker room pep talk when the Hawks were in a 1-3 hole to Detroit, but whatever it was worked well.

Boston really took it to Pittsburgh tonight. They're playing some of their best hockey over the last few games.

Even though it was low scoring, this game tonight was a good one. Lots of chances by both teams and Pittsburgh finally got a good performance out of their goaltender. Either team could have taken this one. I am sure both teams will be pretty tired after playing an extra 35 or so minutes tonight.

The Penguins are the more talented team. The Bruins are the better team.

This sucks.
